Hannah K Bründl ist autorin an der schnittstelle von lyrik, drama und experimentellen formen. ihre arbeiten befassen sich häufig mit themen wie körper, männlich-semantisierter gewalt und dem spannungsverhältnis von natur und kultur.
sie studierte komparatistik, germanistik und sprachkunst in wien, war währenddessen mitherausgeberin der literaturzeitschrift JENNY und mitkuratorin der lesereihe SEHR ERNSTE. ihre texte wurden in zeitschriften (u.a. kolik, bella triste, transistor, manuskripte) und anthologien wie dem jahrbuch der lyrik publiziert, zum open mike des haus für poesie berlin und zum literarischen märz eingeladen.
2020 wurde das kollektiv geschriebene und selbstproduzierte hörspiel es gibt diese namen/es gibt diese wut über misogyne strukturen im literaturbetrieb für den ARD pinball nominiert und auf srf zwei sowie auf deutschlandfunk kultur ausgestrahlt.
2021 war hannah mit THE SPACE für das hans-gratzer-stipendium des schauspielhaus wien sowie mit DRAINED, das mit dem österreichischen dramatiker:innenstipendium gefördert wurde, für den münchner förderpreis nominiert und für eine residenz an den münchner kammerspielen eingeladen.
2022 erhielt ihr stück VÂLANDINNEN über die figuren der sagengeschichtlichen krimhild und über marianne bachmeier das literaturstipendium des landes oberösterreich. es wurde zum retzhofer dramapreis eingeladen.
2023 erschien hannahs lyrikdebüt Mother_s bei roughbooks.
im kollektiv mit der regisseurin anne mulleners erarbeitet hannah hybridformen aus theater und poesie für die bühne. 2024 sind die beiden zum nachwuchswettbewerb des theaters drachengasse eingeladen.
aktuell ist hannahs stück tender für das drama lab der wiener wortstaetten und des theaters am werk nominiert und hannah residenzstipendiatin am literarischen colloquium berlin.

Hannah K Bründl is an author at the intersection of poetry, drama, and new experimental forms. Her works often engage with themes such as the body, male violence,, and nature vs. culture.
She studied Comparative Literature, German philology, and Art in Vienna. During this time, she was co-editor of the literary magazine JENNY and co-curator of the reading series SEHR ERNSTE. Her texts have been published in literary journals (including kolik, BELLA.triste, Transistor, manuskripte) and anthologies (such as the Yearbook of Poetry 2022). She has been invited to the Open Mike literary prize at the Haus für Poesie Berlin and the prize of the Literary March Darmstadt.
In 2020, the collectively written and self-produced radio play es gibt diese namen/es gibt diese wut about misogynistic structures in the literary field was nominated for the ARD Pinball prize and broadcasted on the Swiss and German radio stations SRF Zwei and Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
In 2021, Hannah was nominated for the Munich Advancement Award of the Munich Kammerspiele with her play DRAINED, supported by the Austrian Playwrights' Scholarship, as well as for the Hans Gratzer Scholarship at the Schauspielhaus Vienna with THE SPACE.
In 2022, her play VÂLANDINNEN about the characters of the legendary Krimhild (from the heroic legend of the Middle High German Nibelungen Song) and about the real Marianne Bachmeier (who shot the murderer of her daughter in court) received the literary scholarship of the State of Upper Austria. It was invited to the Retzhofer Drama Prize in 2023.
Hannah's debut collection of poetry Mother_s was issued by the Swiss publishing house roughbooks in 2023.
In close collaboration with director Anne Mulleners, Hannah creates hybrid forms of theater and poetry for the stage. 2024 their work is nominated for the young talents prize of the Drachengasse Theatre in Vienna.
This year Hannah‘s play tender is nominated for the drama lab prize of the Wiener Wortstaetten and the Theatre am Werk Vienna and Hannah is fellow in residency at the Literary Colloquium Berlin.
